UNDER-18S AT GEEKYCON
Just like Harry Potter had to be 11 to attend Hogwarts, we recommend that all attendees be above the age of 11. All attendees under the age of 18 must bring a signed and notarized permission form when they check in, which will be available on our website prior to the conference. Children under five may attend free with a parent.
All attendees under the age of 18 attending GeekyCon without a registered parent or legal guardian must bring a signed permission form when they check in. Attendees under the age of 18 whose parents are also attending the convention may forgo the permission form, provided that the parent checks in at the same time as the child and shows photo ID.
Please note that there is no chaperone ticket. Parents who wish to attend programming with their children must purchase their own registration. Children under five may attend for free with a parent or legal guardian.
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY DAY PASSES
Only have time for one geeky day? Grab a Day Pass for either Friday or Saturday, and get access to the awesome geeky programming happening that day, and our special nighttime events including the six-hour Geeky Music Festival on Friday, or the Esther Earl Rocking Charity Ball and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts One and Two Midnight Release Party on Saturday!
THE GEEKYCON LIT PASS
In 2011, we introduced our very first “Lit Day” which was amazing and hilarious celebration of young adult literature, inspired by Harry Potter (the Boy Who Brought Us All Together), and the brainchild of New York Times Bestselling author Maureen Johnson. Each year, it has expanded and become more awesome, and more hilarious, and it has since become its own weekend-long track of programming. GeekyLit features YA, fantasy, and fiction authors together in a uniquely intimate setting. They talk about reading, creativity, the business and the pleasure of writing, and generally geek out about books. GeekyLit programming could fill up most of your weekend by itself, if you wanted it to, so we offer it as its own ticket or in addition to the General GeekyCon Pass (which you will read about next).
With a GeekyCon Lit Pass, you get access to all scheduled autograph and photobooth sessions with the GeekyLit authors as well as access to the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, and our Nighttime events which include the Geeky Music Festival on Friday, and the Esther Earl Rocking Charity Ball on Saturday.
THE GENERAL PASS
This is your standard ticket to all things GeekyCon, and therefore all things fandom! With this ticket you can attend any of the General GeekyCon programs, panels, discussions, workshops, sing-alongs and more. General GeekyCon programming is designed for geeks, by geeks. It dives deep into our fannish obsessions, and celebrates the stories and characters we have all come to love. At GeekyCon, we like to say “All fans. All fandoms. Welcome home.” and that is especially true for our programming. We talk about everything from Harry Potter, Doctor Who, and Star Wars, to feminism in the world of gaming, how to grow your geeky hobbies into a career, and where to go for those cosplay essentials.
Of course, the General Pass also gives you access to all of our MainStage, and Nighttime events, as well as the opportunity to explore the amazing GeekyCon Marketplace.
THE GENERAL+LIT PASS
If you just can’t pick between our Lit and General Passes, you have this handy option to have your cake and eat it too with the General+Lit combination pass. You get access to all Lit and all General programs, and perks and you won’t have to feel like you’re missing out on any of the fun!
THE ROCKSTAR PASS
This is our VIP, super-deluxe, super-awesome ticket. It gives you access to every program on the GeekyCon schedule, plus some pretty awesome perks, including: Three guaranteed autograph and three guaranteed photobooth sessions with the special guests of your choice (this means you can skip the lottery!); preferred seating at all of our most popular MainStage events; expedited on-site check-in in your own super-speedy line; awesome RockStar-exclusive swag items; and many more surprises. At GeekyCon, we know that nerds are rock stars, so we like to treat them that way! This pass is very limited and often sells out quickly so don’t wait to get yours!
* Autograph and Photobooth opportunities are distributed on-site by a lottery system. This gives everyone a fair shot at an autograph, while ensuring that lines don’t last forever, and our special guests can come out from behind the table to have some fun too!

GeekyCon Waitlist Policy
RockStar tickets are currently sold out. In order to add yourself to the waiting list for a RockStar ticket, you must first purchase another registration type. One of the options during the registration process will be to add yourself to the waiting list for RockStar upgrades. If spaces are created due to cancellations, we will contact the next person on the waiting list via email and offer them the upgrade.
In the event that GeekyCon sells out as a whole, a waiting list will be opened. An announcement will be made via the GeekyCon website and social media pages when this waiting list becomes available. At that time you will be able to add yourself to the waiting list.
If a cancellation is made after this point, the ticket will be offered to the first person on the waiting list according to the timestamp on the entry. If a ticket becomes available to you, you will be contacted via email and will be given a deadline to accept or decline the registration. Should you decline, you will not be offered another opportunity to register. We are not able to disclose information on any individual’s position on the waiting list and you will only be contacted if a ticket becomes available for you.
